A caring company
I have started You're So Kind because I am more interested than ever in making kind choices with the products I buy and I think that other people are as well. Kind to the environment, kind to themselves and kind to others.
That's why we have made a commitment to donate 100% of our profit to charity, fixing the biggest problems facing our generation. It's also why we have made our organic hand soap as sustainable as possible, with biodegradable packaging and recyclable plastic.
The market is saturated with products, and we have at our fingertips more variety than previous generations could have dreamed of. What this means is that people are buying products based on the story which a brand tells, and how this fits in with how they want to live their life, rather than just the effectiveness of the product (which should be a given!).
Unilever, the international consumer goods giant, has indicated that over 70% of all its growth now comes from brands which are linked to a social purpose, from mental health to international aid to female empowerment.
People want to make a difference but trust in charities is at a fifteen year low. Making a difference with your buying choices is the perfect low-risk way to have an impact, no matter how small.
I founded You're So Kind based on four simple principles:
- Make the world a better place
- Create products which people will love
- Be innovative and creative
- Build a workplace which fosters the best talent, but also the kindest people
We hope to do something new, and hope that it will be good. We invite you to join us on this journey and we are just at the beginning, we have a long way to go (so please be kind to us!).
By no means do we have all the answers, and so if you could give us some advice, it would be very welcome.
